Guest list

The list of people who have RSVPed to an event. On Luma, the host can make this list visible or hidden. When visible, it is the single most valuable pre-event artifact you can read.

May 27, 2026

A guest list is the canonical record of who plans to attend an event. On Luma, the host controls visibility - some lists are open to anyone with the event URL, some are visible only to registered attendees, some are hidden entirely until check-in.

When the list is visible, it is a goldmine for pre-event planning. Reading the list 24 hours before the event tells you who the room is going to be, lets you sort attendees by ICP fit, and gives you specific names and roles you can prepare for. Most people glance at the list once and never use it again. Tools like FindMyICP exist because that one glance leaves 95% of the value on the table.

If the guest list is hidden, you have three options: (1) ask the host to unhide it - many will, especially if you frame it as serious prep; (2) accept that you're running the event blind and budget your time accordingly; (3) deprioritize the event in favor of one with a visible list.
